Aaron Jerome, also known as SBTRKT, released his debut self-titled album last year on the British label Young Turks. Full of so many beautiful tiny details, SBTRKT provide sounds of 2step, funk, dubstep, smooth R&B and Chicago house. A headphone lover’s true paradise, the unforgettable beats along with the sensual guest vocals of SBTRKT’s sidekick Sampha, and Little Dragon’s Yukimi Nagano on the track Drake remixed Wildfire. Although new to officially sharing for himself, he is no stranger to the music industry with previous popular DJing work in East London, and remixes for the likes of MIA, Radiohead, Basement Jaxx, Mark Ronson and Underworld. Some call SBTRKT the new Timbaland for the new generation, but what’s for sure is everything he creates turns into smooth, electronic, magic.
